Communion Communion: Word Document

Poem written by Elder J.A. Rowell, Sr.

We love thy church, Oh Lord,
The church where christians meet,
To worship thee, in full accord,
And wash each other's feet.

Oh, bless the bread we break,
And also bless the wine,
While at thy table, we partake,
In sweet communion dine.

Thy body, may we see,
Which all our sorrows bore,
Upon the cross of Calvary,
For we need nothing more.

Thy blood so freely shed,
To wash away our sin,
And bring redemption to the dead,
Then breathed thy life within.

May we thy Spirit feel,
As we together pray,
While in thy presence, now we kneel,
To keep this solemn day.
