Forgot To Pray

This question, I should ask my heart,
At closing of the day,
Did I a moment set apart,
To pause awhile and pray.
What answer shall I give tonight,
What can my conscience say,
To make the wasted time seem right,
If I forgot to pray.
Each day, so many hours to live,
In sleep, at work, or play,
With all this time, I fail to give,
A minute, just to pray.
Yea, not one second interlude,
Of time to steal away,
To show my humble gratitude,
And bow my head and pray.
Forgive me, Lord, please love me yet,
Help daily, that I may,
Remember thee and not forget,
To meet with thee and pray.
