The Guest

Poem written by Elder J.A. Rowell, Sr.

I pray thee Lord, to be my guest,
And dwell with me each livelong day,
My whole desire, my daily quest,
To have thy counsel on life's way.
That in my home, thou shall abide,
As sailing life's uncharted sea,
And on the course, will thou decide,
The things what's always best for me.
Oh, honored Guest, Oh, Guest divine,
Forever welcome to my heart,
Please grace this earthly life of mine,
Oh may you never more depart.
To be our guest on earth below,
Then when this earthly life is o'er,
To that eternal home I go,
To be thy guest forever more.
